EXT3−XR−TR is a compact AV transmitter and receiver from Kramer Electronics that extends 4K@60Hz (4:4:4) HDMI, USB 2.0, Ethernet, RS‑232 and IR signals over twisted‑pair copper up to 100 m (330 ft). The unit can be configured as either the transmitter or the receiver: in transmitter mode it converts local input signals into an HDBaseT 3.0 stream and in receiver mode it converts the incoming HDBaseT 3.0 stream back to original HDMI, USB, Ethernet, RS‑232 and IR interfaces. The device supports HDMI 2.0 features including HDCP 2.3, EDID and CEC passthrough, HDR10, deep color, x.v.Color™ and multi‑channel uncompressed audio.

How to use

Set the unit to the required role (transmitter or receiver) and connect the source HDMI, USB host or local devices to the appropriate local ports. For transmitter mode, connect a CAT twisted‑pair cable from the unit’s HDBT port to the HDBT port of the remote receiver. For receiver mode, connect the incoming CAT cable to the HDBT port and attach the display, remote USB devices or control interfaces to the unit’s outputs. Use the HDMI loop‑out on the transmitter to feed a local monitor if needed. Apply 12 V DC power and verify link and port status via the front LEDs.

Usage recommendations

For optimal reach and signal performance use high‑quality CAT copper cables (shielded where appropriate) and Kramer‑recommended cables.
