Coaxial Cable Kramer Electronics BNC Coax 1.8m

The Kramer Electronics BNC Coax 1.8m coaxial cable is a reliable solution designed for high-resolution video signal transmission. Manufactured by Kramer, this cable utilizes high-performance RG-6 construction combined with true 75-ohm BNC connectors on both ends. This design ensures correct impedance from end to end, minimizing signal loss and maintaining signal integrity across professional and home video equipment setups. The 1.8-meter length offers practical flexibility for connecting devices that are positioned close to one another without excess cable clutter.

Advantages

The cable offers outstanding quality and durability for demanding video applications. Its high-performance RG-6 construction is specifically tested to 3G standards, making it capable of handling high-resolution signals accurately. The inclusion of true 75-ohm BNC connectors ensures that impedance remains stable throughout the entire connection, preventing reflection and degradation of the video signal.

Suitable for

• Connecting professional video equipment in broadcast or studio environments
• Setting up home theater systems requiring reliable BNC connections
• Transmitting high-resolution video signals in security and surveillance systems
• General laboratory or testing setups utilizing 75-ohm BNC interfaces

When it may not be suitable

This cable may not be appropriate for setups requiring a long-distance connection, as the 1.8-meter length is specifically intended for short-reach configurations. Additionally, it is not suitable for equipment that relies on interface types other than BNC connectors, such as HDMI or RCA, without the use of dedicated adapters.

Key specifications

• Cable type: RG-6 coaxial cable
• Connector type: BNC male on both ends
• Impedance: 75 ohms
• Length: 1.8 meters
• Signal testing: Tested to 3G

How to use

To use the Kramer Electronics BNC Coax 1.8m cable, first ensure that all connected video devices are powered off. Align the BNC connector on the cable with the BNC port on your video equipment, push it in gently, and twist the outer ring clockwise to lock the bayonet mechanism securely in place. Repeat the process for the other end of the cable. Avoid sharp bends or excessive tension along the cable length to maintain optimal signal performance over time.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that your video equipment features standard 75-ohm BNC input and output ports
• Measure the required distance between your devices to confirm that the 1.8-meter length is sufficient
• Check whether your application requires high-resolution video transmission supported by RG-6 construction

Usage recommendations

For optimal signal integrity and longevity, route the cable away from power lines and avoid tight coiling or pinching. Always disconnect the cable by gripping the molded connector housing rather than pulling directly on the wire.
