Audio Cable Kramer Electronics C-A35M/IRRN-3 0.9m 3.5mm Black

The Kramer Electronics C-A35M/IRRN-3 is a specialized 0.9m audio and control cable designed to function as an infrared receiver companion for compatible Kramer infrared repeaters, such as the PT-4iREX model featuring an external remote IR receiver input. Built with quality construction in mind, this cable includes a compact IR receiver module and is terminated with a molded 3.5mm male connector, providing a reliable connection for your infrared control setup. Its functional black design integrates easily into professional AV installations and home entertainment systems alike, ensuring seamless signal transmission.

Advantages

The Kramer C-A35M/IRRN-3 offers reliable performance through its quality construction and durable molded connectors designed for frequent use. The compact IR receiver module allows for discreet placement within various environments without disrupting the aesthetic of the room or installation space. By connecting directly to compatible Kramer infrared repeaters, it extends remote control capabilities to areas where direct line-of-sight is obstructed. The convenient 0.9-meter length is specifically suited for rack setups and close-proximity device connections where excess cable clutter needs to be avoided.

Suitable for

• Connecting to Kramer infrared repeaters like the PT-4iREX
• Extending infrared remote control signals in AV systems
• Professional audiovisual installations requiring remote IR reception
• Home theater setups with hidden or enclosed equipment racks

When it may not be suitable

This cable is not designed for standard analog audio transmission between music players, headphones, or speakers, despite featuring a 3.5mm connector. It is specifically engineered for infrared control signals and will not function as a standard auxiliary or stereo audio patch cable. Additionally, the 0.9-meter length may be insufficient for setups where the IR receiver needs to be placed at a significant distance from the repeater unit.

Key specifications

• Cable length: 0.9 meters
• Connector type: Molded 3.5mm male
• Application: Infrared receiver cable for IR repeaters
• Color: Black

How to use

To use the Kramer C-A35M/IRRN-3, plug the molded 3.5mm male connector directly into the designated external remote IR receiver input port on a compatible Kramer infrared repeater device, such as the PT-4iREX. Position the compact IR receiver module in a location where it can easily capture infrared signals from your handheld remote controls. Ensure that the connection is secure and that the cable is routed safely away from sharp edges or heavy foot traffic to maintain optimal performance.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that your existing equipment features a compatible external remote IR receiver input port
• Check whether the 0.9-meter length is sufficient for your specific spatial layout and device placement
• Confirm that your intended application is for infrared control signal transmission rather than standard audio playback

Usage recommendations

For best results, place the IR receiver module in an unobstructed location facing your primary seating area to ensure reliable remote control reception. Avoid bending the cable sharply near the connectors to preserve internal wiring and extend the operational lifespan of the product.
