The KRISBERG 7718 Enameled Cast Iron Skillet 30 cm Gray is a versatile and durable kitchen essential designed to meet all your daily cooking needs. Crafted from robust cast iron and finished with a protective enamel coating, this frying pan combines traditional thermal performance with modern ease of maintenance. With a generous 30 cm diameter, it provides ample space for preparing family meals, whether you are searing meats, frying vegetables, or baking in the oven. The gray exterior offers a contemporary aesthetic that fits seamlessly into any kitchen decor.

Advantages

This enameled cast iron skillet delivers exceptional heat retention, keeping food warm for longer periods after cooking. The heavy-duty cast iron construction ensures even heat distribution across the entire cooking surface, eliminating hot spots and resulting in consistently cooked dishes. Thanks to the protective enamel layer, the pan does not require traditional seasoning and resists rust, making it significantly easier to clean and maintain than standard cast iron cookware. It is compatible with a wide variety of heat sources, providing reliable versatility for different kitchen setups.

Suitable for

• Searing steaks, chops, and other meats at high temperatures
• Frying eggs, pancakes, and vegetables with reliable heat control
• Baking cornbread, frittatas, and desserts directly in the oven
• Everyday home cooking and meal preparation on various hob types

When it may not be suitable

This skillet may not be ideal for users seeking lightweight cookware, as the cast iron material makes it notably heavy and substantial. It is also less suitable for individuals who prefer low-maintenance, dishwasher-safe utensils, as enameled cast iron generally requires careful handling and hand washing to preserve its surface integrity.

Key specifications

• Product type: Enameled cast iron skillet
• Diameter: 30 cm
• Color: Gray
• Material: Cast iron with enamel coating
• Hob compatibility: Suitable for various hob types and oven use

How to use

Before first use, wash the skillet with warm water and mild soap, then dry it thoroughly. Heat the pan gradually on your hob to prevent thermal shock, using a suitable cooking oil or butter as needed. While the enamel coating protects against rust, avoid using metal utensils that could scratch or chip the surface; opt for silicone, wooden, or heat-resistant plastic tools instead. After cooking, allow the pan to cool completely before cleaning it by hand with warm water and a non-abrasive sponge.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that your stovetop dimensions match the 30 cm diameter of the skillet for optimal heating efficiency.
• Ensure you are comfortable lifting heavier cookware, as cast iron pans have substantial weight.
• Confirm that your cooking habits align with hand-wash-only kitchen utensils.

Usage recommendations: Always use oven mitts or heat-resistant grips when handling the skillet during and after cooking, as the cast iron body and handle become extremely hot. Store the pan in a dry place, and if stacking is necessary, place a protective cloth or pad between cookware pieces to protect the enamel finish.
