KRISBERG Enameled Cast Iron Pot 28 cm 5.9 L Black 7729

The KRISBERG Enameled Cast Iron Pot 28 cm 5.9 L Black is a robust and reliable piece of cookware designed to meet everyday cooking needs. Crafted from durable cast iron with a protective enamel coating, this pot offers a generous 5.9-liter capacity and a 28 cm diameter, making it well-suited for preparing family-sized meals. It is engineered to provide exceptional heat distribution and long heat retention, ensuring that your food cooks evenly and stays warm for extended periods.

Advantages

This enameled cast iron pot delivers superior cooking performance thanks to its heavy-duty material composition. The thick walls and base absorb heat efficiently and distribute it uniformly across the entire cooking surface, eliminating hot spots. The durable black enamel interior and exterior finish protect the cast iron from rust and corrosion, while also making the surface easier to clean compared to traditional raw cast iron. It functions reliably across a wide range of cooking appliances, including gas, electric, ceramic, and induction cooktops.

Suitable for

• Slow cooking stews, curries, and casseroles
• Roasting meats and poultry in the oven
• Braising vegetables and tough cuts of meat
• Preparing large batches of soups and broths

When it may not be suitable

This pot may not be suitable for individuals who require lightweight cookware, as cast iron is inherently heavy and can be cumbersome to lift, especially when filled to its maximum capacity. Additionally, it is not recommended for users who prefer low-maintenance cookware that can be cleaned effortlessly in a standard household dishwasher without special care.

Key specifications

• Material: Enameled cast iron
• Diameter: 28 cm
• Capacity: 5.9 L
• Color: Black
• Hob compatibility: Gas, electric, ceramic, and induction

How to use

Before first use, wash the pot with warm water and mild soap, then dry it thoroughly. When cooking, use low to medium heat settings, as cast iron retains heat exceptionally high and does not require maximum temperature levels. Always use wooden, silicone, or heat-resistant plastic utensils to protect the enamel surface from scratching. Allow the pot to cool down naturally before cleaning, and avoid thermal shocks such as pouring cold water into a hot pot.

What to consider before purchase

• Check the weight of the pot to ensure it is comfortable for you to handle when full
• Verify that your stovetop dimensions match the 28 cm base diameter of the pot
• Ensure you have adequate storage space in your kitchen for heavy cast iron cookware

Usage recommendations: Hand wash the pot with mild detergent and dry completely before storing to maintain the quality of the enamel coating. Avoid using abrasive sponges or harsh chemical cleaners to prevent surface damage.
