KRISBERG 7748 Enameled Cast Iron Frying Pan, 20 cm, Green

The KRISBERG 7748 Enameled Cast Iron Frying Pan is a professional-grade kitchen tool designed for durability and consistent cooking performance. With a 20 cm diameter, this pan is crafted from heavy-duty cast iron, which is renowned for its ability to retain heat and distribute it evenly across the cooking surface. The exterior and interior are finished with a high-quality enamel coating, providing a smooth surface that resists sticking and makes the pan easier to maintain compared to traditional raw cast iron.

Advantages

The primary benefit of this enameled cast iron pan is its exceptional thermal stability, which allows for precise temperature control during searing or slow cooking. The enamel coating acts as a protective layer that prevents rust and eliminates the need for complex seasoning processes. Its robust construction ensures that the pan remains stable on the stovetop and resists warping even under high heat conditions. Furthermore, the non-reactive nature of the enamel ensures that acidic ingredients do not affect the flavor of the food, making it a versatile choice for various culinary techniques.

Suitable for

• Searing meats and poultry
• Frying vegetables and eggs
• Slow cooking and simmering sauces
• Use on induction, gas, electric, and ceramic stovetops

This pan may not be suitable for individuals who require lightweight cookware, as the density of cast iron makes it significantly heavier than aluminum or stainless steel alternatives. It is also not recommended for those who prefer dishwasher-safe convenience, as hand washing is required to preserve the integrity of the enamel coating.

Key specifications

• Diameter: 20 cm
• Material: Cast iron with enamel coating
• Compatibility: All stovetop types including induction
• Surface: Non-stick enamel finish

To use the pan, place it on a burner that matches the diameter of the base to ensure even heat distribution. Preheat the pan gradually on low to medium heat before adding oil or food. Avoid using metal utensils that could scratch the enamel surface; silicone or wooden tools are recommended to maintain the finish for a longer period.

What to consider before purchase

• Check if the 20 cm size meets your daily cooking volume requirements
• Ensure you are comfortable with the weight of cast iron cookware
• Verify that you have adequate storage space for a heavy-duty pan

For optimal longevity, always allow the pan to cool down completely before washing it with warm water and mild detergent. Avoid thermal shock by not placing a hot pan directly into cold water.
