KRISBERG 7772 Cast Iron Grill Plate with Legs, 45 cm Diameter, for Fire Pit and Campfire

The KRISBERG 7772 cast iron grill plate is a robust and versatile cooking tool designed specifically for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy preparing meals over an open flame. With a generous 45 cm diameter, this grill plate provides ample space for cooking a variety of ingredients simultaneously. The integrated stable legs allow it to be positioned securely directly over a fire pit or campfire, elevating the cooking surface to the ideal height for consistent heat exposure.

Advantages

The primary benefit of this grill plate is the high-quality cast iron construction, which is renowned for its exceptional heat retention and uniform distribution properties. This ensures that food is cooked evenly across the entire surface, preventing hot spots and achieving a professional sear on meats and vegetables. The durability of the material means that with proper care, the plate will withstand high temperatures and frequent use in outdoor environments, making it a long-lasting addition to your camping or garden equipment.

Suitable for

• Cooking over open fire pits
• Preparing meals during camping trips
• Grilling meat, fish, and vegetables in the garden
• Outdoor culinary events and bushcraft cooking

When it may not be suitable

This grill plate is not suitable for use on induction, ceramic, or glass stovetops, as the cast iron material and the integrated legs are designed exclusively for open fire applications. It is also quite heavy, which may be a disadvantage for hikers or backpackers who need to minimize the weight of their gear.

Key specifications

• Material: Durable cast iron
• Diameter: 45 cm
• Design: Equipped with stable legs for fire pit use
• Compatibility: Open fire pits and campfires

How to use

To use the KRISBERG grill plate, place it securely over your prepared fire pit or campfire, ensuring the legs are firmly planted on level ground. Allow the plate to preheat over the flames for several minutes before adding any food. Once the surface is hot, you can begin grilling your ingredients. It is recommended to use long-handled grilling tools to maintain a safe distance from the heat. After cooking, allow the plate to cool down completely before attempting to move or clean it.

What to consider before purchase

• Ensure your fire pit or campfire area is large enough to accommodate a 45 cm diameter plate.
• Consider the weight of the cast iron if you plan to transport it frequently.
• Verify that you have the necessary space to store the plate when not in use.

Usage recommendations

To maintain the quality of your cast iron grill plate, always clean it after use and apply a thin layer of cooking oil to prevent rust. Avoid using harsh detergents or abrasive scrubbers that could damage the seasoned surface.
