Sanding sheet KWB 818924 5 pcs
The KWB 818924 5 pcs sanding sheet set contains five hook-and-loop backed abrasive sheets sized 230 x 115 mm. Each sheet uses aluminium oxide abrasive coated on a phenolic resin bond with a strong backing and is punched for dust extraction. These sanding sheets are intended for use with orbital sanders that have a hook-and-loop base and dust extraction capability. The abrasive grit is suitable for sanding wood, metal, paint, varnish, filler, stone and certain plastics to achieve a smooth, consistent surface.
The aluminium oxide abrasive provides long wear life and consistent cutting performance across several materials. The phenolic resin bonding ensures the abrasive stays attached under heat and pressure, while the strong backing maintains sheet stability and reduces tearing. Hook-and-loop fabric backing allows quick attachment and replacement on compatible orbital sanders. Punched holes align with dust extraction systems to help remove debris and improve visibility and finish quality.
These sanding sheets are designed for orbital sanders with hook-and-loop attachment and punched dust extraction. They may not fit sanders with different attachment systems or sizes other than 230 x 115 mm. Very soft materials or highly delicate finishes that require ultra-fine abrasives or non-aggressive polishing pads may not be best served by these aluminium oxide sheets.
Attach the sanding sheet to an orbital sander with a compatible hook-and-loop base, aligning the punched holes with the machine's dust extraction ports. Start sanding with moderate pressure, moving the sander evenly across the surface in overlapping passes. For best results, keep the sander moving to avoid gouging and replace sheets when abrasive performance diminishes or the backing becomes worn. Use appropriate protective equipment and dust extraction when sanding hazardous materials.
For general-purpose finishing, use lighter pressure and a steady motion; for stock removal on wood or metal, progress from coarser to finer grits. Keep holes aligned to maintain effective dust extraction and extend abrasive life.
