SSD disk Seagate 4.1 TB 2.5" USB Type-C Pro5
The Rugged SSD Pro5 by LACIE (Seagate MPN STNA4000400) is a portable external SSD in a 2.5" form factor with 4.1 TB (4096 GB) capacity. Designed for creative professionals, it connects via Thunderbolt/USB Type-C and delivers very high sustained performance for demanding tasks while offering IP68-rated protection against water and dust, drop resistance up to 3 m and pressure protection up to a 2-tonne vehicle. The enclosure uses at least 45% recycled materials and the drive is available in a blue finish.
This Rugged SSD Pro5 provides ultra-fast read/write performance — up to 6,700/5,300 MB/s with a 50 GB cache and sustained performance after cache of up to 5,000 MB/s read and 1,800 MB/s write — enabling real-time editing of 6K and 8K video on Thunderbolt 5-equipped Macs. The device is physically durable (IP68, 3 m drop, vehicle-pressure rated), portable (2.5" form factor, 0.15 kg) and includes Toolkit backup software plus a one-month Adobe Creative Cloud membership for workflow convenience.
Connect the SSD to a compatible Thunderbolt 5 or USB-C/Thunderbolt 4 port on your Mac or PC using the provided cable. For best performance with high-resolution video editing, use a Thunderbolt 5 host (MacBook Pro, Mac Mini or other Thunderbolt 5-equipped systems). Install the included Toolkit backup software to configure automatic backups and use the one-month Adobe Creative Cloud membership if required. When transferring large projects, allow the drive to complete its cache operations for maximum sustained throughput.
Use the Rugged SSD Pro5 for on-location editing and large-file transfers; ensure your host system supports Thunderbolt 5 to reach maximum advertised speeds, and regularly back up important projects using Toolkit or an alternative backup solution.
