To install the cable gland, insert the threaded body through the pre-drilled hole in the enclosure wall and secure it from the inside using the provided locknut. Once the body is fixed, pass the cable through the gland. Tighten the dome nut by hand or with a suitable wrench to compress the internal sealing ring around the cable jacket. This action creates a tight seal and provides the necessary strain relief to prevent the cable from being accidentally disconnected.
For optimal performance and to maintain the IP68 rating, ensure the dome nut is tightened sufficiently to create a uniform seal around the cable. Avoid over-tightening with heavy tools, as this may damage the plastic threads.
