Nordic walking poles Leki Traveller Carbon blue — Leki LE KIJ NW Traveller Carbon blue, carbon shaft, adjustable length
Leki Traveller Carbon blue nordic walking poles are lightweight, adjustable poles with carbon shafts designed for everyday fitness walking and travel. The poles combine a slim carbon construction for reduced weight and improved shock absorption with an adjustable length system that allows users to set the poles to their preferred height. Ergonomic grips and secure wrist straps support stable hand positioning and make the poles suitable for extended walks and varied terrain.
The carbon shaft provides a lower weight compared with typical aluminium poles and helps dampen vibrations for smoother pole plants. The adjustable length mechanism enables a precise fit for different user heights and for switching between walking and travel or transport modes. Ergonomic grips and wrist straps improve control and reduce hand fatigue over long distances, while the compact, collapsible design facilitates packing and storage.
These poles are designed primarily for nordic walking and general trekking; they are not intended for heavy-mountain mountaineering or technical ice and rock climbing where highly robust, non-adjustable aluminium or specialised expedition poles are preferred. Extremely heavy users or those requiring maximum shaft stiffness may find aluminium poles more suitable.
Set the pole length to a comfortable height before use — typically with the elbow at roughly a 90-degree angle when the pole is planted vertically. Lock the adjustable sections firmly according to the manufacturer’s mechanism before applying load. Use the ergonomic grip and wrist strap to stabilise each pole while walking, placing weight through the strap to reduce grip tension. Collapse and secure the sections when preparing the poles for travel or storage.
For best results, adjust pole length to your walking style and terrain, regularly check and tighten the locking mechanism, and use the wrist straps to transfer load off the hands. Store the poles dry and collapsed to prolong the life of the adjustable joints and the carbon shaft.
