Processor Intel Xeon Silver 4310 2.1 GHz 18 MB Smart Cache LGA 4189
The Intel Xeon Silver 4310 is a server-grade processor based on the Ice Lake microarchitecture. It operates at a base frequency of 2.1 GHz with a boost up to 3.3 GHz, includes 18 MB Smart Cache and 12 cores, and fits the LGA 4189 socket. Designed for multi-threaded workloads in servers and workstations, the processor supports octa-channel DDR4 memory configurations and advanced instruction set extensions such as AVX and AVX-512 to accelerate compute-intensive tasks.
The processor offers dynamic frequency scaling through Intel Turbo Boost Technology for bursts of performance and improved energy efficiency during low load. Intel Hyper-Threading Technology provides two threads per physical core to increase parallel throughput. Built-in virtualization features (VT-x, VT-d, VT-x with EPT) improve platform consolidation, I/O virtualization and memory-management efficiency. Additional technologies such as Intel Speed Shift, Intel DL Boost and Intel RDT enhance responsiveness, AI inference performance and resource control in multi-tenant environments.
Install the processor into a compatible LGA 4189 motherboard following the server or workstation manufacturer's installation and handling guidelines. Ensure proper CPU cooling and power delivery for stable operation under load. Configure BIOS/UEFI settings to enable or tune features such as Hyper-Threading, Turbo Boost, virtualization (VT-x, VT-d) and any platform-specific options for memory and I/O. Use compatible server operating systems and hypervisors to take advantage of virtualization and platform-specific acceleration features.
Deploy this Intel Xeon Silver 4310 in racks or blades designed for LGA 4189 CPUs, with adequate cooling and power headroom. Enable VT-d for improved I/O virtualization, and enable Intel DL Boost and AVX-512 support in software stacks that can use them to improve AI inference and vector computation performance.
