Solid State Drive Lenovo 512GB M.2 2242 PCIe G4 x4 (5SS1Q40711N)
Product description is under construction. Specify the parameters, price and delivery options before buying!
Lenovo 512GB M.2 2242 PCIe G4 x4 is a compact NVMe solid-state drive designed for space-constrained systems such as ultraportable laptops, mini-PCs and embedded devices. The drive provides 512GB of flash storage on the M.2 2242 form factor and uses PCIe Gen4 x4 bandwidth to deliver faster sequential and random read/write performance compared with older SATA or PCIe Gen3 solutions. Its small size and NVMe interface make it suitable for accelerating boot times, application launches and file transfers in modern systems that support M.2 2242 devices.
The drive’s PCIe Gen4 x4 interface offers higher throughput and reduced latency for data-intensive tasks, improving system responsiveness. The M.2 2242 form factor enables upgrades in compact devices where larger M.2 lengths are not supported. The 512GB capacity balances usable storage and physical footprint, providing space for operating system, applications and frequently used data. As an NVMe SSD, it consumes less power and produces no moving parts, increasing durability and quiet operation compared with mechanical drives.
This M.2 2242 SSD is not suitable for systems that lack an M.2 2242 slot or only support SATA-based M.2 interfaces. Systems that do not support PCIe Gen4 will still work with the drive but may not reach the maximum Gen4 performance; in those cases performance will be limited by the host controller. For users who require multi-terabyte capacity or enterprise-grade endurance and power-loss protection, larger-capacity or specialized enterprise SSDs may be more appropriate.
Install the drive in a compatible M.2 2242 PCIe slot following the device manufacturer’s instructions. Secure the module with the appropriate standoff and screw, then enable the M.2 slot in BIOS/UEFI if necessary. After physical installation, initialize and format the drive in the operating system or install the operating system directly to the NVMe drive. Use vendor or OS tools to confirm firmware is up to date and to monitor health and available space during use.
Use the Lenovo 512GB M.2 2242 PCIe G4 x4 SSD as the primary system drive in compact laptops and mini-PCs to achieve faster boot and application performance; keep critical data backed up and monitor drive health with standard SMART/OS tools.
