How to use

Place the microscope on a stable, level surface and secure a prepared slide on the stage using the stage clips. Use the mirror to direct ambient or external light through the diaphragm; rotate the diaphragm disk to select the appropriate aperture for contrast. Start with the lowest-power objective and the 10× eyepiece to locate the specimen, then switch objectives via the revolving nosepiece to increase magnification as needed. Adjust coarse focus first and then refine the image with the fine focus knob. Change eyepieces between 10× and 12.5× to vary apparent magnification without altering objectives.

Usage recommendations

Handle optical surfaces carefully and keep lenses clean with a soft lens cloth. Use even, indirect light with the mirror to avoid glare. When storing the microscope, lower the stage and cover the instrument to protect it from dust; avoid exposure to strong moisture or extreme temperatures to maintain the metal body and optical components.
