Levenhuk DTX 700 LCD Digital Microscope is a standalone digital microscope designed for examining non-transparent objects such as jewelry, circuit boards, minerals, coins and metal sections, and it is also suitable for home observations of insects and plants. The instrument integrates a 5 MP digital camera and a built-in LCD screen to deliver a colorful, detailed image while reducing eyestrain compared with eyepiece viewing.

Advantages

The microscope provides optical magnification in the 10–300× range with an additional digital zoom reaching up to 1200×. Images and videos are captured by the built-in 5 MP camera and displayed on the integrated LCD; control buttons beneath the screen allow adjusting photo and video quality, using time-lapse and circular video modes, and setting date and time. The device works without a constant connection to external hardware—media are saved to a memory card (sold separately)—but it can also connect to a computer, TV or external monitor via included USB and AV cables. Measurement software supplied on CD enables basic measurements (line, radius, diameter, three-point angle) and annotating images.

How to use

Place the microscope on a stable surface and position the object on the stage or under the objective. Switch on the illumination and adjust LED brightness to obtain an even image. Use the focus control and optical zoom to reach the desired magnification (10–300×); apply the additional digital zoom if greater enlargement is required. Capture photos or record video using the control buttons under the LCD screen. To save media locally, insert a compatible memory card into the device (memory card not included). To transfer data or view the image on a larger display, connect the microscope to a computer, TV or monitor via the supplied USB or AV cable and run the included software if measurements or annotations are needed.

Usage recommendations

For best results with reflective samples (polished metals, coins, jewelry), enable the built-in polarizing filter and reduce LED brightness to minimize glare. Charge the internal battery before field use and keep a calibration scale available when performing measurements.
