The Lian Li LANCOOL 216R-X is a black Midi Tower PC case designed for optimized airflow and flexible cooling configurations. It comes with two pre-installed 160 mm ARGB front fans and one 140 mm rear PWM fan, continuous front-to-top mesh panels, and a modular rear panel that can be reconfigured for air cooling or water cooling. The case supports Mini-ITX, Micro-ATX, ATX and E-ATX (up to 280 mm wide with the grommet bar flipped) motherboards, multiple storage drives, and long graphics cards up to 392 mm.

The LANCOOL 216R-X provides strong airflow through full mesh panels on the front, top and PSU shroud side, and includes a removable top radiator bracket for easier installation. It ships with ARGB-capable 160 mm fans with dual LED channels and a SATA-powered fan hub in the second chamber to control up to four ARGB/PWM fans. The modular motherboard mount allows a higher position for improved air cooling or a lower position to accommodate radiators and water-cooling loops. Additional features include a rear PCIe fan bracket for improved GPU cooling, support for vertical GPU mounting, and ample cable-management options.

Install the chosen motherboard form factor and position it according to your preferred cooling mode: set the motherboard higher for improved air-cooled layouts or lower to create a 63 mm gap at the top for radiator and fan installations. Connect the included ARGB fans to a 5V 3-pin motherboard header or to the SATA-powered fan hub in the second chamber. If required, relocate the front I/O module to the lower left side of the front panel. For vertical GPU configurations, use a compatible PCIe riser cable (additional purchase required).

Usage recommendations

For optimal cooling balance, configure the case in air-cooling mode with the two 160 mm front intake fans and the rear 140 mm exhaust, or choose the water-cooling mode and install a top radiator up to 63 mm thick. Use the fan hub and motherboard ARGB header to manage lighting and fan curves, and consider the optional magnetic front dust filter if dust control is a priority.
