Power Switch, Lindy, IPower Switch Classic 16
The Lindy IPower Switch Classic 16 is a networked power management device designed to give administrators remote control of connected equipment. It provides individual outlet control and status indication via a browser interface or compatible software, and offers power consumption charts for daily, monthly or custom periods. The unit accepts an IEC 320 C19 mains input and is suitable for installation on a 16A circuit; a mains lead is not included.
The unit provides per-outlet status LEDs and displays its current IP address for quick identification. Remote control functions include power-on, power-off and reboot for multiple servers, workstations, hubs and routers. Built-in power monitoring gives consumption charts for selectable periods, enabling basic energy usage tracking. Its IEC 320 C19 input supports higher-current installations up to 16A.
Install the unit in the rack or location with access to your network and an appropriate mains supply. Connect the mains using a suitable IEC 320 C19 power cable (not supplied); for connection to a 13A fused plug use a standard cable, or use a Commando-style cable rated for 16A when connecting to a 16A circuit. After powering the unit, access the built-in web interface via its IP address shown on the display to configure network settings, outlet names and control permissions. Use the interface or compatible software to switch individual outlets on/off or to reboot connected devices, and view power consumption charts for the desired time range.
Ensure you select a mains cable and plug appropriate for the circuit rating: use a standard fused cable for 13A circuits or an IEC C19/Commando cable rated at 16A for 16A circuits. Note that SSL is not supported; secure network placement and access controls are recommended to limit administrative access.
