Description

The Lindy 70m Cat.6 HDMI 4K30 and IR Extender enables extension of HDMI audio and video signals up to 70 metres over a single Cat.6 U/UTP cable (cable not included). The kit supports 4K video at up to 3840x2160@30Hz 4:4:4 8bit and includes IR receiver and emitter cables for remote control signal extension.

Extends HDMI and IR signals reliably over long distances using a single low-cost Cat.6 cable. Supports Power over Cable (PoC) so the receiver can be powered from the transmitter, reducing the need for a separate power outlet at the display. Slim, compact transmitter and receiver housings simplify installation behind displays and in confined spaces. HDMI loop-out on the transmitter allows local monitoring while the remote display receives the same signal. EDID copy function ensures compatibility when different displays are connected.

How to use

Connect the HDMI source to the transmitter and link transmitter to receiver using a single Cat.6 U/UTP cable of good quality and solid core construction. Connect the receiver to the remote display via HDMI. If local monitoring is required, connect a local display to the transmitter HDMI loop-out. Attach the supplied IR receiver near the source and the IR emitter at the remote display to extend remote control functions. Power the system by connecting the power supply to the transmitter; the receiver will receive power via PoC. Use the EDID copy function to select EDID data from either the local or remote display to ensure correct video and audio formats.

Recommendations

Quoted distances and resolutions assume a direct connection between transmitter and receiver using good quality Cat.6 solid core cable. Using different cable types, wall plates, couplers or patch panels may reduce the achievable distance and/or resolution.
