The de Buyer 8785.26 frying pan Crepe pan Round is a 26 cm non-stick crepe pan designed for everyday cooking and delicate tasks such as making crêpes, pancakes and thin omelettes. Constructed from 4 mm forged aluminium for strength and fast, even heat distribution, the pan features an induction-capable AISI 430 ferritic stainless steel base. The interior and exterior receive an ultra-resistant reinforced black coating (60 microns) that is PFOA- and particle-free, offering high abrasion and heat resistance and an optimal slip surface for easy food release.
The 4 mm forged aluminium body combines durability with efficient heat conduction to reduce hotspots and ensure uniform cooking. The reinforced non-stick coating provides long-lasting release performance while being free from PFOA and loose particles. The handle is riveted and curved in a French style and is wrapped between two Vosges beechwood parts finished with beeswax, which improves grip and offers some protection from heat. The stainless steel induction-friendly bottom allows reliable use on induction hobs as well as gas, electric and ceramic cooktops.
Before first use, wash the pan by hand with warm water and a non-abrasive sponge. Use low to medium heat for most cooking tasks to preserve the coating and aluminium structure; avoid heating the pan empty or subjecting it to sudden temperature shocks. Use wooden, silicone or heat-resistant plastic utensils to prevent damage to the coating. The curved handle and lightweight forged construction make the pan easy to tilt and control when pouring or flipping crêpes.
Do not overheat or place on high heat when empty. Avoid temperature shocks and do not use metal utensils or abrasive cleaners. Hand wash only with a non-abrasive sponge. The pan is suitable for all heat sources, including induction.
