de Buyer 8785.30 frying pan Crepe pan Round is a 36 cm non-stick crepe pan designed for even heat distribution and long-term use. The pan is made from 4 mm forged aluminium for durability and lightweight handling, with an induction-compatible AISI 430 ferritic stainless steel base. The interior and exterior feature an ultra-resistant black coating free of PFOA and harmful particles, applied at 60 microns to provide enhanced abrasion and heat resistance and an optimal slip surface for making crepes and delicate pancakes.
The forged aluminium body ensures fast, uniform heating and structural stability while keeping the pan relatively lightweight. The reinforced inner and outer coating delivers long-lasting non-stick performance and resists abrasion and high temperatures. A riveted, curved French-style handle wrapped between two Vosges beechwood parts offers improved grip and heat protection, with a beeswax finish that enhances durability and comfort. The induction-friendly stainless steel bottom allows use on all heat sources including induction cooktops.
Preheat the pan on medium heat and avoid heating it while empty or applying excessive heat. Use wooden, silicone or heat-resistant plastic utensils to preserve the non-stick coating. Pour batter and cook crepes on an evenly heated surface, turning when the edges lift and the surface sets. After cooking, allow the pan to cool before cleaning. Hand wash only with a non-abrasive sponge and mild detergent; avoid abrasive cleaners and steel wool to maintain the coating integrity.
Avoid sudden temperature shocks (for example, immersing a hot pan into cold water) and do not use metal tools that can scratch the coating. To extend the life of the wooden-wrapped handle, avoid prolonged exposure to direct flame and do not soak the handle in water. Use moderate heat settings when possible to preserve coating performance and food quality.
