Loudspeaker Mackie DRM315 — 3-way wired PA speaker, 1920 W, 35–20000 Hz, 8 Ω, black
The Mackie DRM315 is a 3-way wired PA loudspeaker engineered for live sound and installed audio applications. Delivering 1920 W of power and a frequency response from 35 Hz to 20,000 Hz, this full-range speaker combines three dedicated drivers and precision DSP to provide high output, extended bandwidth and controlled dispersion for front-of-house, stage monitoring and venue reinforcement. The DRM315 integrates Mackie’s Advanced Impulse™ DSP and the DRM Control Dashboard™ to simplify setup, tuning and real-time adjustments via a clear full‑color display and an intuitive single‑knob interface.
The Advanced Impulse™ DSP corrects driver- and horn-related anomalies across frequency and time domains to deliver a flat, time-aligned and highly intelligible sound. With a powerful 1920 W amplifier section and 137 dB sensitivity, the speaker provides the headroom and SPL required for medium to large live events. The DRM Control Dashboard™ offers quick visual feedback on levels and settings, while venue-specific voicing, parametric EQ and alignment delay functions let you tailor the response for different environments. Built with robust plywood construction and finished in black, the cabinet is suitable for touring and permanent installation.
Position the DRM315 for optimal coverage with the high-frequency horn aimed toward the listening area and the cabinet secured on speaker stands or flown according to venue requirements. Connect input sources using the speaker’s standard wiring or connectors specified by the system. Use the DRM Control Dashboard™ to select venue voicing, set levels and apply the 3-band parametric EQ and alignment delay as needed. Monitor real-time amplifier temperature and level meters on the display while adjusting the single control knob to navigate menus and confirm settings.
For best results, perform soundcheck with typical program material to set main level and EQ, enable venue-specific voicing where appropriate, and allow the Advanced Impulse™ DSP to correct driver anomalies. Maintain adequate ventilation for the amplifier section and inspect rigging points regularly when flown. When using multiple cabinets, align delays and voicing across the system for consistent coverage and time coherence.
