Coffee maker Maestro MR-1666-9, stovetop moka pot for 9 cups
The Maestro MR-1666-9 stovetop moka pot brews espresso-style coffee for up to 9 cups (approximately 450 ml) using ground coffee and direct stovetop heat. Constructed from aluminum with a black handle and silver finish, this compact moka pot follows the classic geyser design: a lower water chamber, a coffee basket for ground coffee and an upper collecting chamber. It is intended for manual, countertop use and is suitable for everyday home brewing, small gatherings or office breaks.
The aluminium body provides efficient heat transfer and a lightweight construction that is easy to handle. The classic moka design produces a concentrated, full-flavoured coffee without electrical components, making the unit simple to maintain and reliable over time. With a 9-cup capacity and 450 ml volume, the pot is sized to serve multiple people at once while remaining compact enough for standard kitchen storage. The detachable parts are easy to clean and the straightforward assembly supports consistent results with minimal effort.
Fill the lower chamber with water up to the safety valve level, insert the filter basket and add evenly ground coffee without tamping. Screw the upper chamber firmly onto the lower part and place the moka pot on a stovetop flame or heating element set to medium-low heat. When the coffee starts to rise into the upper chamber, reduce heat to prevent sputtering and remove the pot from the heat once the gurgling sound stops. Allow the coffee to settle briefly, then pour and serve.
Use medium-fine ground coffee intended for moka or espresso-style brewing and clean all parts after each use to maintain flavour and extend the life of the aluminium. Avoid using abrasive detergents and do not leave the pot on high heat unattended. For best results, preheat water slightly to reduce extraction time and adjust grind or coffee amount to taste.
