Glass Ovenproof Baking Dish Maestro MR-5250, Heat-Resistant Glass, Capacity 5.0 L
Maestro MR-5250 is a transparent, ovenproof baking dish made from heat-resistant glass with a 5.0 L capacity. Designed for use in conventional ovens and other cooking appliances that accept glass bakeware, it allows visual control of the cooking process and is suitable for roasting, baking casseroles, gratins and reheating prepared food. The clear construction and simple rectangular shape make it a versatile piece of cookware for home kitchens.
The heat-resistant glass construction endures typical oven temperatures and provides even heat distribution across the cooking surface. A 5.0 L capacity offers enough volume for family-sized portions or multi-layer casseroles, while the transparent material enables easy monitoring of browning and doneness without opening the oven. The smooth glass surface is non-porous which helps prevent absorption of odors and liquids, and it is simple to clean after use.
This glass baking dish is not intended for direct flame, open grill use or induction stovetops. Extreme and sudden temperature changes (for example transferring a hot dish directly to a cold wet surface or adding cold liquid to a very hot dish) may cause thermal shock and damage the glass. It is also not optimized for high-impact tasks where metal bakeware or cast iron would be preferred.
Place the Maestro MR-5250 dish on the middle oven rack for even heat exposure. Preheat the oven to the required temperature before inserting the dish, and avoid placing the glass directly on stovetop burners or open flames. When adding liquids to a hot dish, warm the liquid to reduce the risk of thermal shock. Allow the dish to cool gradually before cleaning; use warm soapy water or a dishwasher if compatible with the glass and manufacturer instructions. Use oven mitts or gloves when handling hot glassware.
For best results with the Maestro MR-5250, preheat the oven, avoid rapid temperature changes, and use oven-safe mitts when handling. To monitor doneness without interrupting cooking, rely on the clear glass to check browning and bubbling, and allow the dish to cool before washing to preserve its integrity.
