PE threaded internal elbow MAGNAPLAST 63 mm x 6/4" (model 448611)
PE threaded internal elbow MAGNAPLAST 63 mm x 6/4" (model 448611) is a polyethylene pipe fitting designed to create a compact 90° transition between a 63 mm PE pipe and a 6/4" (1.5") threaded component. It is intended for installations where a durable, low-weight elbow with an internal thread is required to connect PE piping to valves, meters or other threaded fixtures. The fitting is suitable for potable water distribution, irrigation systems and general utility piping where a PE-to-thread connection is necessary.
The MAGNAPLAST internal elbow is made of polyethylene, offering resistance to corrosion and chemical degradation while maintaining low thermal conductivity and light weight. Its internal threaded end provides a standardized mechanical interface for secure attachment of threaded components without direct heat or complex joining procedures. The elbow's compact geometry reduces space requirements at direction changes and simplifies routing in confined installations.
Prepare the PE pipe by cutting a clean, square end and deburring the internal and external edges. Insert the PE pipe into the socket end of the elbow following the manufacturer's guidance for insertion depth and use the recommended compression or electrofusion method if applicable for the specific MAGNAPLAST socket type. Threaded components should be engaged into the internal thread with appropriate sealing (for example, PTFE tape or suitable thread sealant) as required by the installation. Ensure alignment and torque are applied within the limits recommended for plastic fittings to avoid over-stressing the thread or body.
Verify compatibility of the threaded component material and sealing method with polyethylene fittings; avoid excessive mechanical loads or high torque on the thread. Follow local regulations and manufacturer installation instructions for pressure ratings, temperature limits and approved joining techniques to ensure long-term performance.
