The Manfrotto MSQ6T Top Lock Travel Quick Release Adaptor lets you attach an Arca-type plate to Manfrotto Befree heads (models 494 and 496 families). Made of lightweight aluminium, this compact Arca‑Swiss compatible adaptor is sized to remain fully compatible with the Befree travel tripod range, allowing the legs to fold neatly around the head and adaptor. The adaptor includes a two-axis spirit level for accurate framing and an ergonomic side locking knob that secures the plate-holder in place. The Q6 Arca-compatible plate is sold separately.

How to use

To mount the MSQ6T onto a Befree tripod head, remove the existing plate-holder from the head using the supplied Allen key. Replace it with the MSQ6T adaptor and secure it using your own fixing screw. Attach an Arca-type quick release plate to the adaptor and tighten the ergonomic side knob to lock the plate in place. Check that the knob has reached its stop position and that the plate is secure before mounting your camera.

Usage recommendations

Before installation, remove any plate from your Befree tripod and verify the head model on the plate-holder to confirm compatibility. Use a proper Arca-type Q6 plate (sold separately) and ensure the fixing screw is correctly tightened for a secure connection.
