Sound Adapter Manhattan 151429
The Manhattan Sound Adapter 151429 is a compact USB audio interface that adds 3.5 mm microphone-in and audio-out ports to desktop, notebook or netbook computers. It connects to any USB port and provides virtual 7.1 surround sound, a built-in amplifier and onboard volume controls to improve audio access and performance without installing drivers.
This USB sound adapter offers plug-and-play and hot-swap operation, bypassing damaged audio jacks or replacing inoperative sound cards. It uses USB bus power via an internal class B amplifier, so no external power supply is required. Support for 3D audio, virtual 7.1 surround sound, built-in sound effects and a 10-band equalizer deliver flexible audio tuning in a small, lightweight plastic housing.
Plug the Manhattan Sound Adapter into an available USB port on your computer. Connect a 3.5 mm microphone to the microphone jack and headphones or speakers to the audio-out jack. The device is recognized automatically by most operating systems; no driver installation is normally required. Use the connected device’s or operating system’s audio settings to select the adapter as the input/output device and adjust volume or surround settings.
For best results, use with headsets or speakers that have quality 3.5 mm connectors and keep the adapter within a short distance of connected devices to avoid strain on short cables. If advanced surround or equalizer control is required, adjust settings in your OS or audio application that supports virtual 7.1 and 10-band equalization.
