AV transmitter & receiver Manhattan HDMI 1080p over Ethernet Extender Kit
AV transmitter & receiver Manhattan HDMI 1080p over Ethernet Extender Kit
The Manhattan HDMI 1080p over Ethernet Extender Kit transmits high-definition video and multichannel audio up to 50 m (164 ft) over a single Cat6 Ethernet cable. The kit includes transmitter and receiver modules and supports HDMI sources such as game consoles, Blu-ray players, satellite receivers and digital recorders. The transmitter also provides an extra HDMI output for an additional monitor, and the kit includes EDID control, a built-in equalizer dip switch and wideband IR blaster/receiver for remote control of the source device.
This extender kit delivers reliable 1080p (up to 1920 x 1200) video and multichannel audio over longer distances than standard HDMI cables. It supports Cat6 cabling (UTP, SSTP or SFTP), includes EDID and equalizer controls to reduce display issues and flicker on long runs, and offers IR pass-through for convenient remote control. The transmitter’s extra HDMI output allows local monitoring or placement of a second display. Installation is plug-and-play and the kit is powered via the included adapter.
Connect the HDMI source (for example, a game console or Blu-ray player) to the transmitter’s HDMI input. Run a single Cat6 Ethernet cable between the transmitter and receiver modules, then connect the receiver’s HDMI output to the display or projector. Use the included power adapter to supply power; the adapter can power either the transmitter or receiver as specified in the kit instructions. Configure EDID and equalizer dip switches if necessary to resolve compatibility or long-run signal issues, and set up the wideband IR blaster and receiver for remote control of the source device.
Use high-quality Cat6 cabling (UTP, SSTP or SFTP) for best signal integrity. For runs approaching the maximum distance, confirm display resolution and adjust the equalizer/EDID settings to prevent flicker or handshake problems. Place the extra HDMI output where local monitoring is required and ensure the IR blaster/receiver have a clear line of sight if controlling the source remotely.
