Swimming Kickboard Marimex LEARN JUNIOR, pink, training aid for children

Marimex LEARN JUNIOR, pink, is a children's swimming kickboard designed as a training aid to support the development of basic aquatic skills. The lightweight board provides buoyant support for the upper body so young swimmers can focus on improving kicking technique, leg strength and horizontal body alignment during swim lessons and pool practice. Its compact size and hand-friendly shape make it easy for children to hold and control while learning to coordinate breath and movement in the water.

Advantages

This kickboard offers steady buoyancy and a simple, child-oriented shape that helps maintain an appropriate body position in the water without restricting leg motion. The pink finish is easy to spot in the pool and the board’s light weight makes it suitable for younger users to lift, carry and position independently. The construction is intended for routine swim training, teaching environments and home pool practice where safe, basic support is required.

Suitable for

• Beginner swimmers learning kicking technique
• Swim lessons and instructor-led drills for children
• Developing leg strength and ankle flexibility
• Pool practice to build confidence in the water

When it may not be suitable

The Marimex LEARN JUNIOR is designed specifically for children and light support use. It may not provide sufficient buoyancy or size for larger teenagers or adults, and it is not intended for use as a life-saving device. Advanced training that requires resistance or adult-sized equipment may be better served by larger, stiffer training boards or specialized swim tools.

Key specifications

• Intended users: children / junior swimmers
• Primary function: kickboard for swim training and technique development
• Material characteristics: lightweight, buoyant board (foam or similar pool-safe material)
• Color: pink
• Design features: hand-friendly shape for easy grip and control

How to use

Hold the kickboard with both hands extended in front of the body while lying horizontally in the water, or use it under the chest for additional buoyant support depending on the exercise. Instructors can employ the board for kicking drills, short sprints, and flutter-kick practice to isolate leg movement. Encourage children to keep hips high and legs extended, kicking from the hips with relaxed ankles. Rinse the board with fresh water and allow to dry after use to maintain condition.

What to consider before purchase

• Age and size of the child — intended for young swimmers and juniors
• Training goals — suitable for basic kicking technique and confidence building
• Pool use only — not a flotation device or life-saving equipment
• Compatibility with coaching methods — best for instructor-led lessons and supervised practice

Usage recommendations

Use the Marimex LEARN JUNIOR as part of supervised swim lessons and follow gradual progression from short assisted drills to more independent kicking exercises. Combine with verbal cues and demonstrations to develop consistent technique and ensure sessions include rest and hydration breaks.
