The Marmitek Invisible Control 6 XTRA remote control extender lets you operate infrared (IR) audio‑visual equipment that is stored out of sight, for example inside a closed TV cabinet. The kit includes an IR receiver, an IR module and IR transmitters (blaster LEDs). The receiver is placed in view of your remote control and connects to the module inside the cabinet; the module drives the transmitters to send IR commands to your devices.

Advantages

The Invisible Control 6 XTRA supports operation of an unlimited number of devices inside one or two compartments of a closed cabinet while keeping almost the entire set hidden from view. Installation is simple and fast using the supplied infrared blaster LED(s). The system is compatible with virtually all brands and models and supports newer IR code formats (for example RC‑MM) used by many modern HD devices and digital TV decoders. Advanced filtering makes the system resistant to interference from flat screen TVs (plasma, LCD, LED) and from indirect sunlight.

How to use

Place the tiny IR receiver where it can see your remote control, and connect it to the IR module located inside the cabinet. Position the IR blaster LED(s) near the front panels of the devices you want to control and connect them to the module. When you press a key on your remote, the receiver forwards the signal to the module, which then sends the command through the blaster LED(s) to your equipment. In most setups the visible part is only the small receiver while the module and transmitters remain hidden inside the cabinet.

Usage recommendations

For reliable operation, place the blaster LEDs close to the device IR windows and keep the IR receiver within the remote control's line of sight. Avoid covering the receiver and position blasters so their LEDs are not obstructed by metal or dark-tinted surfaces.
