The Marmitek MegaView 63 is an AV transmitter and receiver set that lets you view HDMI sources elsewhere in your home or office on a TV or projection screen in Full HD quality. The compact kit includes one transmitter and one receiver and supports common video resolutions up to 1080p, including 3D. It extends an HDMI connection over a single CAT5e/CAT6 cable up to 40 metres while preserving image quality and without compression.

Advantages

The MegaView 63 enables you to watch TV programmes, films and photos stored on a digital decoder, Media Center PC, Blu-ray player or HDD recorder on a remote TV in perfect HD quality. It supports 1080p Full HD and 3D resolutions and is fully compatible with HDCP 1.4 and standard HDMI versions. The transmitter is USB powered by the connected HDMI source and the receiver benefits from built-in Power over Cable (PoC), removing the need for a nearby power outlet. Using CAT5e/CAT6 cabling provides an efficient price/quality ratio, and the compact design allows the receiver to be hidden out of sight.

How to use

Connect the MegaView transmitter to your HDMI source and provide USB power to the transmitter from the source device or a USB power supply. Run a single CAT5e or CAT6 cable from the transmitter to the receiver placed near the remote TV or projector. Connect the receiver to the display via HDMI. The receiver receives power through the CAT cable using PoC, so no separate power socket is required at the display location. Verify that source and display settings match the supported resolution and that HDCP-protected content is supported by both devices.

For reliable performance, use good-quality CAT5e or CAT6 cable installed without sharp bends and keep cable runs within the specified maximum length.
