Pool filter media Master Fiber Ball 400 g – Master JL290854
Master Fiber Ball 400 g are synthetic filter media engineered for use in sand/DE pump filter systems and other pool filtration units that accept loose media. The lightweight fiber balls occupy filter space efficiently to trap fine particles, reduce turbidity and improve overall water clarity. The 400 g pack is sized for residential pools and smaller commercial installations where compact, low-maintenance media is preferred.
Master Fiber Ball media capture suspended fine debris more effectively than coarse sand alone, which helps extend filter runs and reduce the frequency of backwashing. The synthetic fibers are designed to resist breakdown, remain dimensionally stable in water, and allow for lower pressure build-up in the filter compared with denser granular media. Because the balls are lightweight and loose, they are simple to add or remove during routine maintenance and do not require specialized tools for handling.
Before adding Master Fiber Ball media, follow the filter manufacturer’s instructions for accessing the filter vessel and verify that the model accepts loose media. Rinse the existing filter and remove any large debris. Pour the required amount of fiber balls into the filter tank evenly, taking care not to block ports or laterals. Reassemble the filter and run the pump briefly to distribute the media; monitor pressure to establish a baseline. Perform a controlled backwash if recommended by your filter instructions to settle the media and clear any initial fines.
Use Master Fiber Ball media in accordance with the pump and filter manufacturer’s maintenance schedule. Monitor filter pressure and water clarity regularly; replace or top up media when effectiveness declines. Avoid mixing incompatible chemical-flocculant treatments without confirming compatibility with synthetic fiber media.
