This MasterClass cast aluminium casserole in red measures 27.8 x 21 x 16 cm and has a capacity of 2.5 L. Made from cast aluminium for strength with reduced weight, it is finished with two non-stick, scratch‑resistant coating layers. The casserole is suitable for all hob types including induction and is oven‑safe, making it suitable for slow cooking and a variety of recipes. The product weight is 1.147 kg (1.277 kg including packaging) and the lid is designed to capture and return cooking juices to the dish.
The cast aluminium construction offers durability with lighter weight compared with traditional cast iron. Dual non-stick, scratch‑resistant coatings make food release and cleaning easier while protecting the cooking surface. The fitted self‑basting lid with ridges retains moisture and improves flavour development during cooking. Ergonomic handles provide secure handling on the hob and when transferring to the oven. Compatible with all hob types including induction and safe in the oven up to 200 °C (392 °F).
Before first use, wash the casserole with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly. Use on any hob including induction at medium to low heat for best results; preheating on high heat is not recommended. Use wooden, silicone or nylon utensils to preserve the non‑stick coating. Place the lid on during cooking to retain moisture; the self‑basting grooves will redistribute juices over the food. The casserole is oven‑safe up to 200 °C (392 °F); remove any loose plastic or silicone accessories before placing in the oven.
To extend the life of the non‑stick surface, avoid metal utensils and abrasive cleaners, hand wash when possible, and follow the manufacturer’s care instructions. Suitable for slow cooking, stews, braises and everyday stovetop use.
