MAXPOL Mission Air 100 Wall-Mounted Ventilation Exhaust Hood with Mesh

The MAXPOL Mission Air 100 is a professional-grade wall-mounted ventilation exhaust hood engineered for effective air extraction in residential and commercial buildings. This robust unit is designed to facilitate optimal airflow while protecting your ventilation ducts from external environmental factors. Featuring a durable construction and a thoughtful design, it serves as a reliable terminal element for air exhaust systems, ensuring that your ventilation remains efficient and protected against unwanted elements.

Advantages

The primary benefit of the MAXPOL Mission Air 100 is its integrated protective mesh, which effectively prevents insects, leaves, and larger debris from entering the ventilation duct. Additionally, the unit is equipped with a specialized drip edge that directs rainwater away from the wall surface, preventing unsightly streaks and moisture damage to the building facade. Its high-quality materials ensure long-term resistance to corrosion and harsh weather conditions, making it a dependable choice for outdoor installation.

Suitable for

• Residential ventilation systems
• Commercial exhaust air extraction
• Kitchen and bathroom ventilation outlets
• External wall mounting on various building materials

When it may not be suitable

This exhaust hood is not intended for use in industrial systems requiring high-pressure air extraction or environments with highly corrosive chemical fumes. It is also not suitable for intake ventilation applications where a different design profile might be required to prevent water ingress during heavy wind-driven rain.

Key specifications

• Diameter: 100 mm
• Material: Durable weather-resistant metal
• Integrated protective mesh: Yes
• Drip edge: Yes
• Mounting type: Wall-mounted

How to use

Installation should be performed by securing the unit to the external wall over the ventilation duct opening. Ensure that the duct is properly sealed to the back of the hood to prevent air leakage. The unit should be positioned so that the drip edge is facing downwards to effectively channel moisture away from the wall. Use appropriate fasteners suitable for your wall type to ensure a stable and airtight connection.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify the diameter of your existing ventilation duct matches the 100 mm size.
• Ensure the wall surface is flat enough to allow for a secure, flush installation.
• Check local building regulations regarding the placement of exhaust hoods on exterior walls.

Usage recommendations

Regularly inspect the protective mesh for any accumulation of dust or debris to maintain optimal airflow performance. Clean the mesh periodically to ensure the ventilation system operates at its full capacity.
