Bike Cable Lock Mega Creative model MUFTC02 — combination lock 6 mm x 120 cm

The Mega Creative cable lock (model MUFTC02) is a 6 mm diameter braided steel cable with a 120 cm length and an integrated numerical combination mechanism. Designed for everyday urban use, this lightweight and flexible lock allows you to loop the cable through bike frames, wheels and fixed objects to provide short-term security for bicycles, scooters and other outdoor equipment without the need for keys.

Advantages

The braided steel construction provides basic cut resistance while remaining flexible enough to pass through tight frame sections and wheel spokes. The numeric combination mechanism eliminates the need for carrying keys and lets multiple users access the lock when the combination is shared. Its 120 cm length offers versatility for securing a bike to a variety of fixed objects, and the slim 6 mm profile keeps the lock lightweight and easy to carry when stored on a frame or in a bag.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Short-term locking of bicycles in urban environments
• Securing scooters, children’s ride-ons and small outdoor equipment
• Lightweight, flexible protection for quick stops at shops or schools
• Situations where a keyless combination lock is preferred

When it may not be suitable

This cable lock is intended for low- to medium-risk situations and short-term parking. It does not provide the high security level of a heavy-duty chain or U-lock and may be vulnerable to determined cutting tools or leverage attacks. For long-term overnight storage or in high-theft areas, consider a more robust locking solution.

Key specifications

• Cable diameter: 6 mm braided steel
• Cable length: 120 cm
• Lock type: numerical combination mechanism (keyless)
• Weight: lightweight, designed for portability
• Finish: flexible, vinyl-coated cable (protects paint and reduces noise)

How to use

Set or reset the numeric combination according to the manufacturer’s instructions before first use. Thread the cable through the bicycle frame, wheel spokes and around a fixed object, then insert the cable end into the combination lock housing and scramble the digits to secure. To unlock, align the digits to the saved combination and withdraw the cable. Store the cable lock on the frame, in a pannier or backpack when not in use to keep it dry and accessible.

What to consider before purchase

• Intended use: short-term urban stops versus long-term parking
• Required security level based on local theft risk
• Compatibility with your bike frame and preferred locking points
• Portability and weight for everyday carry

Usage recommendations

Use the cable lock in combination with a higher-security lock when leaving a bike unattended for long periods; avoid locking only removable parts such as quick-release wheels, and regularly check the combination mechanism for smooth operation.
