Cordless Pistol-Grip Drill Metabo BS 18 L BL Q — Brushless, 18V LiHD, 4 Ah x2, 1700 RPM, 1.3 cm Chuck, 4 cm Wood
Metabo BS 18 L BL Q is a compact cordless pistol-grip drill/screwdriver with a brushless motor designed for standard drilling and screwdriving tasks. It runs on 18V LiHD battery packs (two 4 Ah batteries included in the set) and offers a maximum speed of 1700 RPM. The tool accepts chucks up to 1.3 cm and can drill wood up to approximately 4 cm. Its short, lightweight design and integrated LED work light make it suitable for overhead and confined-space work. The product is compatible with the Metabo quick system for fast accessory changes and is supplied with a carrying case (metaBOX), belt hook and a reversible bit case.
The brushless motor provides high efficiency and extended battery runtime while overload protection helps prevent motor overheating. Its extremely short and lightweight form factor improves handling and reduces fatigue when working overhead or in tight spaces. The magnetic hex spindle allows bit use without the chuck, and the integrated LED with afterglow ensures better visibility in the work area. The quick-change system increases flexibility for different attachments, and the aluminium die-cast gear housing enhances durability.
This compact pistol-grip drill is intended for standard drilling and screwdriving tasks; it may not be the best choice for heavy-duty industrial drilling or continuous high-torque applications that require larger, higher-capacity professional rotary drills. For drilling diameters or materials exceeding the listed wood capacity of about 4 cm, a larger specialised drill or different tool may be required.
Charge the supplied 18V LiHD batteries in the recommended charger before first use. Insert the battery into the tool until it locks, fit the required drill bit or screwdriver bit into the chuck or into the magnetic hex spindle for quick bit changes, and select the appropriate torque and speed settings for the task. Use the integrated LED to illuminate the work area as needed. Observe overload protection: if the motor is overloaded, allow it to cool before continuing. After use, remove the battery, store the tool and accessories in the provided metaBOX and secure the bit case to either side of the tool if required.
For best results, match speed and torque settings to material and screw size, use the magnetic hex spindle for rapid bit changes on repetitive screwdriving tasks, and keep spare charged 18V LiHD batteries available for extended work periods.
