Patch panel accessory Metz mounting bracket 130861-0402KE, wall mount, white, aluminium/steel/zinc, 85×110×43.6 mm
The Metz mounting bracket 130861-0402KE is a compact wall-mount accessory designed for secure installation of patch panels and modular keystone modules. Constructed from aluminium, steel and zinc with a white powder-coated finish, this bracket measures 85×110×43.6 mm and provides a modular, surface-mounted housing for up to four ports. It supports direct wall mounting and offers options for desktop placement or DIN-rail installation with an adapter, making it suitable for varied network environments where halogen-free materials and REACH compliance are required.
The housing combines lightweight aluminium with robust steel and corrosion-resistant zinc parts to balance strength and ease of installation. The powder-coated upper part in RAL 9010 is removable without screws for quick access during installation and maintenance. The design includes an equipotential bonding contact pin and additional strain-relief features to secure cabling. The compact external dimensions and modular keystone design allow flexible configuration and straightforward integration into existing structured cabling systems.
Position the Metz mounting bracket at the desired wall location and mark fixings using the housing as a template. Secure the housing to the wall using suitable screws or anchors through the provided mounting clearances. Insert keystone modules into the keystone openings and route cables through the lower entry; use cable ties on the lower part for additional strain relief. If DIN-rail mounting is required, fit the mini FS DIN-rail adapter before installing the bracket. For servicing, remove the powder-coated upper section by lifting it off — no screws are needed for removal.
Use appropriate wall fixings for the substrate (drywall, concrete, masonry) and follow local electrical bonding practices when connecting the equipotential contact pin. When installing fibre modules or delicate connectors, handle termination points carefully and use the optional FO extension set or strain relief accessories where applicable to preserve cable integrity and maintain reliable connections.
