Constructed from aluminium, steel and zinc with a white powder-coated upper housing (RAL 9010), this compact module housing measures 163.3 × 110 × 43.6 mm (W×D×H) and accommodates up to 8 keystone modules. The product is halogen-free and complies with REACH and RoHS standards, making it suitable for structured cabling in small server rooms, communication closets and desktop or DIN-rail mounted arrangements when paired with the appropriate adapters.
The Metz housing offers a robust steel-sheet construction combined with aluminium and zinc components to provide mechanical protection for individual keystone modules and patch connections. The powder-coated upper part can be removed without screws for quick access during installation or maintenance. Built-in options for equipotential bonding and cable strain relief increase installation safety and cable management efficiency. Its modular design supports a range of port counts and optional extension sets for fibre or additional strain relief accessories.
Mount the Metz housing on a suitable flat wall surface using the 60 mm fastening clearance or install it on a desktop or DIN rail with the optional adapter. Fit keystone modules into the front openings until they click into place and route cables through the lower section; the bottom can be removed on certain port variants to ease access. Use the provided contact pin for equipotential bonding if required and secure patch cords or cables with cable ties through the lower strain-relief points. Re-seat the upper powder-coated cover by placing it onto the housing — no screws are necessary for fastening.
Verify compatibility of keystone modules and optional accessories (FO extension set, strain relief sets) before installation. For best cable management and safety, use proper cable ties and ensure equipotential bonding is connected where local grounding rules require it. Avoid exposure to corrosive environments despite the coated finish; follow structured cabling best practices when terminating and labelling ports.
