The MetzConnect 142M1D11050 is a high-performance industrial connection cable designed to provide reliable data transmission in demanding networking environments. With a length of 5 meters and equipped with 4-pole D-coded M12 connectors on both ends, this cable is engineered to maintain signal integrity and secure connectivity for automation and control systems. Its robust construction ensures consistent performance even in challenging technical settings.
This connection cable offers exceptional durability due to its extrusion-coated design and high-quality shielding. The inclusion of a tinned copper braid provides approximately 85% coverage, effectively protecting data signals from electromagnetic interference. The use of a PUR outer jacket combined with an FRNC inner sheath makes the cable resistant to environmental stressors, while the D-coded configuration ensures compatibility with standard industrial Ethernet protocols like Profinet.
This cable is specifically designed for industrial Ethernet applications and may not be suitable for high-speed office networking environments where different connector types or non-shielded cabling are standard. It is also not intended for outdoor use where extreme UV exposure or direct burial is required without additional protective conduit.
To use the cable, align the D-coded M12 connectors with the corresponding ports on your industrial devices. Push the connector firmly into the port and rotate the locking nut clockwise until it is hand-tight to ensure a secure, vibration-resistant connection. Ensure the cable is routed away from sharp edges or high-heat sources to maintain the integrity of the PUR jacket over time.
