Advantages

This M.2 SSD enclosure provides a practical way to protect your sensitive solid-state drives while offering seamless portability. The durable construction safeguards the internal hardware from everyday wear and tear during transport. With plug-and-play functionality, the device eliminates the need for complex driver installations, allowing for quick access to stored files. The USB 3.0 connection ensures that data transfers remain fast and stable, significantly reducing waiting times during large file backups or media streaming.

Suitable for

• Accessing data from internal M.2 NGFF SSDs via an external USB port
• Creating a custom portable external drive for backups and travel
• Repurposing an old internal solid-state drive after a laptop or PC upgrade
• Transferring large files between different computers quickly

When it may not be suitable

This enclosure is specifically designed for NGFF M.2 SSDs and will not fit NVMe PCIe drives, so users must verify their drive type before attempting installation. Additionally, it does not function as a standalone storage device without an inserted compatible M.2 solid-state drive.

Key specifications

• Compatible with NGFF M.2 solid-state drives
• External USB 3.0 interface for high-speed connection
• Portable and compact form factor
• Plug-and-play operation without requiring extra drivers

How to use

To use the enclosure, gently open the housing and insert your compatible NGFF M.2 SSD into the internal slot, ensuring it is properly secured according to the physical design. The operating system should automatically recognize the drive, allowing you to read, write, and manage your files immediately.

What to consider before purchase

• Check that your solid-state drive is an NGFF M.2 model, as NVMe drives are not supported
• Ensure your computer or host device has an available USB port for connection
