Description

The Millennium ChessGenius International 20x20 cm is a compact electronic chess set designed for international chess play. The board measures 20 x 20 cm and integrates MILLENNIUM HighSensitive pressure sensor technology together with an illuminated LCD display that visualizes the virtual board and shows menu and help texts. The device includes the ChessGenius engine by Richard Lang, offering a wide range of difficulty settings from beginner levels to tournament strength, adjustable time controls and optional trainer functions. Its small footprint and battery operation make it suitable for travel and easy storage.

Advantages

The set combines a physically compact yet sturdy 20 x 20 cm HighSensity chessboard with an illuminated screen and a fast processor running the ChessGenius engine, providing strong play at over 2000 ELO on higher settings and very accessible beginner modes. Pressure sensors ensure reliable piece recognition and the multilingual menus support seven languages for menu and help texts. Battery operation and ECO mode enable long play sessions away from mains power.

Suitable for

Individual training and practice against an adjustable computer opponent
Travel and portable play where a compact board is required
Beginners learning tactics and move suggestions with trainer mode
Experienced players seeking adjustable tournament-level difficulty
Casual play at home with quick setup and battery operation

Key specifications

Board size: 20 x 20 cm
Technology: HighSensitive pressure sensor board
Display: illuminated LCD showing virtual board and menus
Engine: ChessGenius by Richard Lang with multiple difficulty levels
Difficulty range: beginner levels up to tournament strength (over 2000 ELO at high settings)
Trainer functions: warnings, take-back offers and move suggestions (optional)
Time control: adjustable average time per move and maximum total time per game
Power: battery operation with ECO mode; option to use external 5V power supply

How to use

Place the set on a flat surface and install batteries or connect a compatible 5V power supply. Use the illuminated display and menus to select language, difficulty level and time controls. Make moves on the physical 20 x 20 cm board; the HighSensitive sensors detect piece placement and the virtual board on the display shows the computer’s responses. Enable the trainer mode if you want move warnings, take-back options and suggested improvements. Adjust ECO mode and language settings as needed for longer portable use.

Usage recommendations

For travel and extended battery life, enable ECO mode and carry alkaline batteries. Use lower difficulty settings or the trainer mode when learning; choose higher tournament levels for stronger play. If you prefer continuous mains operation, use a compatible 5V power supply. Store spare or smaller pieces in an under-device compartment if using the compact piece set designed for storage.
