Heating Cable Mission self-regulating with thermostat NO FROST 2m
Mission Heating Cable NO FROST 2m is a self-regulating electric heating cable with an integrated thermostat, designed for short-run freeze protection. The 2-metre cable adjusts its heat output according to ambient temperature to prevent ice and frost formation on pipes, gutters and limited roof areas. It is intended for installations where a compact, automatic anti-freeze solution is required for residential and small commercial applications.
The self-regulating design increases heat output when temperatures drop and reduces power when surfaces warm, which lowers energy consumption compared with non-regulating heating tapes. An integrated thermostat simplifies installation and ensures automatic operation without an external controller. The compact 2 m length is suitable for targeted protection of short pipe runs, downspouts or localized roof edges. The cable construction is suitable for direct attachment to metal or plastic pipes and for installation in gutters and small roof channels.
This 2 m self-regulating cable is intended for short runs and targeted protection; it may not be suitable for long pipe networks, extensive roof heating or large-scale commercial installations. For continuous or high-capacity heating requirements, longer cable lengths or a distributed system with appropriate power capacity and separate control devices will be necessary. Also avoid installing this cable where mechanical damage or severe chemical exposure cannot be prevented.
Plan the cable route along the section to be protected and ensure the surface is clean and free of sharp edges. Fix the cable to the pipe or gutter using compatible clips, stainless steel tape, or the attachment method recommended by the manufacturer, maintaining the recommended spacing and avoiding cable overlaps. Connect the integrated thermostat and power supply per local electrical codes; if required, use a qualified electrician for mains connection. After installation, test the system to confirm the thermostat switches the cable on at low temperatures and off as surfaces warm. Regularly inspect the cable and fastening points for damage or wear.
For reliable frost protection, use the Mission NO FROST 2m cable only for short, clearly defined runs. Ensure correct attachment to the surface, avoid cable overlaps, observe local electrical safety rules, and perform periodic inspections to maintain consistent operation.
