Polishing Pad MODECO MN-68-624, 125 mm Wool Fur with Drawstring
Polishing Pad MODECO MN-68-624, 125 mm Wool Fur with Drawstring is a circular wool-fur bonnet intended for machine polishing and finishing of painted surfaces and metals. The 125 mm diameter is suitable for both compact rotary and random orbital polishers when used with an appropriate backing plate. The drawstring allows quick and secure attachment to backing plates or polishing machines and helps keep the pad centered during operation. The wool pile provides a balance of cutting ability and gloss potential, making this pad suitable for correcting light to moderate surface defects and for final finishing steps.
The wool-fur material offers effective cutting performance combined with a capacity to generate gloss, enabling removal of oxidation, light scratches and swirl marks while improving surface reflection. The 125 mm size ensures control in confined areas and on panel edges. The integrated drawstring simplifies mounting and reduces pad slip during use, while the resilient wool pile maintains consistent contact with the surface for uniform results. The pad is compatible with common machine polisher backing plates when size and attachment method are matched.
Fit the pad over the backing plate or bonnet holder and tighten the drawstring to secure the pad in place before switching on the polisher. Apply an appropriate polishing compound to the pad or directly to the work surface, select a moderate polishing speed and move the machine evenly across the panel using overlapping passes. Maintain light, even pressure and avoid prolonged dwell in one spot to prevent heat buildup. After use, loosen the drawstring and remove the pad for cleaning according to the polishing compound manufacturer's guidance.
For best results, pair the wool-fur pad with a compound matched to the level of correction required: use a heavier-cut compound for deeper defects and a fine polish for final gloss. Test on an inconspicuous area first to determine optimal speed and pressure. Clean the pad regularly to remove residue and reshape the pile if necessary to maintain consistent performance.
