The NATEC Rhino M.2 NVMe Lite (model NKZ-2286) is a compact external SSD enclosure for a single M.2 NVMe/PCIe drive. It accepts M.2 modules in sizes 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 with up to 10 TB capacity and connects to a host via USB Type-C at USB 3.2 Gen 2 speeds (up to 10 Gbit/s). The enclosure features an aluminum body combined with plastic elements and requires no driver installation for standard plug-and-play operation.
The enclosure provides fast data transfer up to 10 Gbit/s over USB-C and supports UASP and TRIM to maintain drive performance. Its sturdy all-aluminum outer shell and intuitive mounting system secure the M.2 drive against mechanical damage while keeping the unit compact and lightweight. The package includes a USB-C to USB-C cable and a silicone cap to fix the drive in place, so no additional accessories are required for typical use.
Open the enclosure, insert a compatible M.2 NVMe/PCIe module in the correct orientation and secure it using the supplied silicone cap and mounting system. Close the enclosure, connect it to a computer via the included USB-C to USB-C cable, and the drive will be available without installing additional drivers on modern operating systems. Use standard file manager tools or disk utilities to format, partition or access data as required.
For best performance and longevity, enable TRIM support in your operating system when available, use the UASP-capable host port, and avoid prolonged operation in environments with poor ventilation to prevent thermal throttling of high-performance NVMe modules.
