Data projector NEC 40001458
The NEC 40001458 is a large-venue data projector delivering 10,000 ANSI lumens with 3LCD projection technology and a native WUXGA (1920x1200) resolution. Designed for professional installation environments, it uses a long-life laser light source rated for up to 20,000 hours and a filterless, sealed optical engine to maintain stable colour performance over time. The projector supports 1080p and other video modes, provides a 2.3:1 zoom ratio and auto focus for flexible placement, and is available in a white housing suited to conference halls, museums and large auditoria.
The laser light source ensures extended operation without lamp changes and reduces ongoing maintenance costs. The sealed optical engine and filterless LCD design minimise dust ingress, helping to preserve picture quality and colour saturation. Factory white-point calibration and 12-bit colour signal processing deliver consistent white balance and wide colour reproduction for detailed, vivid images. Super-silent operation keeps fan noise to a minimum for environments where low ambient noise is important.
Place the projector on a stable mount or rig compatible with professional installation lenses and align it with the screen. Use the zoom and auto focus features to achieve a sharp image; adjust keystone and lens shift as required by the installation. Connect source devices using the appropriate video inputs and select the required video mode (including 1080p) through the projector menu. Because the unit is filterless and laser-based, routine maintenance is limited to occasional external cleaning and firmware updates as provided by NEC.
For best long-term image stability, install the projector in a dry, temperature-controlled environment and follow NEC’s recommended service intervals for firmware and mechanical lens checks. Use compatible PA Series lenses for flexible throw distance adjustments, and perform initial white-point calibration verification as part of system commissioning to ensure accurate colour reproduction.
