NEC Sharp V801U projector 8000 ANSI lumens 3LCD WUXGA (1920x1200) laser, motorized focus, 16:10, 11.2 kg
The Sharp V Series is a compact, cost-efficient laser projector family designed for installations that require long-life performance, low maintenance and installation flexibility. Using 3LCD technology and 12-bit colour processing, these projectors deliver vivid colour, accurate white-point calibration and high dynamic contrast suitable for education, corporate, leisure and simulation environments. The V Series is compatible with existing mounts and lenses, offering a straightforward upgrade path from lamp-based or earlier laser models while maximising existing assets. ProAssist software and advanced image tools support remote setup, geometric correction, edge blending and wide lens shift for precise integration.
Laser light source eliminates lamp replacement and enables extended maintenance-free operation up to 20,000 hours. High brightness (8,000 ANSI lumens) combined with 3LCD 12-bit colour processing produces rich colour saturation and precise whites for clear, natural images. The compact design and compatibility with existing mounts and lenses reduce upgrade costs and shorten installation time. Built-in Ethernet network control and Sharp ProAssist software allow remote configuration, monitoring and diagnostics. Advanced geometric correction, tiling and camera-based edge blending support versatile installation scenarios including portrait and free-tilt setups.
Install the projector on a compatible mount or recommended installation bracket and position it to match the intended screen size and aspect ratio. Connect video sources and Ethernet for network control. Use the motorised zoom and focus to set image size and sharpness, then perform geometric correction and lens-shift adjustments for precise alignment. Use Sharp ProAssist software for remote setup, fine-tuning and system monitoring. For multi-projector setups, configure tiling and camera-based edge blending to create seamless large images.
Install the projector in a well-ventilated environment and follow manufacturer guidance for dust management to ensure reliable long-term operation. Confirm compatibility with existing lenses and mounts before upgrading to guarantee correct throw distance and alignment. Use network management tools for remote monitoring and schedule periodic optical alignment checks when operating in tiling or portrait configurations.
