Rope NEO Tools braided polypropylene fi 4 mm, length 400 m
NEO Tools braided polypropylene rope, 4 mm diameter and 400 m length, is a lightweight, flexible cord designed for general-purpose tying and outdoor use. The rope is manufactured from polypropylene fibers in a braided construction that provides a smooth surface, good flexibility and resistance to moisture and many common chemicals. Its small diameter and long length make it practical for storage and multiple applications where a low-weight, rot-resistant line is required.
The braided polypropylene construction offers a combination of flexibility and tensile strength while remaining resistant to water absorption and biological rot. The smooth braided surface reduces abrasion and tangling during handling. With a 4 mm diameter the rope balances compactness and load capability, and the 400 m length provides long runs for prolonged projects without frequent splicing. Its chemical resistance and low specific gravity make it suitable for marine and outdoor environments where lightweight, durable cordage is preferred.
Cut the rope to the required length using a sharp knife or scissors, and seal cut ends by melting slightly to limit fraying when appropriate for polypropylene. Form knots appropriate to the task—braided polypropylene accepts common knots such as bowline, clove hitch and sheet bend—but test knot security under load before critical use. Store the rope coiled in a dry, shaded area away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prolong its service life. When used in marine conditions, rinse with fresh water occasionally to remove salt deposits and debris.
Inspect the rope regularly for wear, abrasion or damage and replace if fibers are visibly degraded. Avoid prolonged exposure to concentrated chemicals and strong UV without protection; consider using a UV protective sleeve or cover for extended outdoor deployment. Do not exceed safe working loads for small-diameter cordage and use appropriate hardware or anchors for load-bearing applications.
