The NewerTech AdaptaDrive is a 2.5" to 3.5" internal SATA drive converter bracket that lets you install any 2.5" SATA hard drive or SSD into a standard 3.5" drive bay. Made from aluminum with an open design for improved cooling, the adapter supports SATA Revision 1.5, 2.0 and 3.0 (up to 6 Gbit/s) drives and fits desktop Mac, PC, or external enclosures with 3.5" mounting points.

The AdaptaDrive preserves full SATA throughput and has been benchmark-tested to deliver the same data transfer rates as a drive connected directly to the SATA data bus.
