Foam Rubber NMC FOAM RUBBER VB3030 — foam sheet material for insulation and cushioning
FOAM RUBBER VB3030 by NMC is a flexible foam sheet material intended for insulation, cushioning and sealing applications. The foam rubber construction combines compressibility with resilience to provide thermal and acoustic insulation, vibration damping and surface protection. FOAM RUBBER VB3030 is supplied as a flat sheet suitable for cutting, shaping and fitting in a variety of installation contexts where a compressible, durable foam is required.
FOAM RUBBER VB3030 offers a balance of softness and dimensional stability, enabling reliable compression and recovery under repeated loads. Its cellular structure reduces heat transfer and helps absorb airborne and structure-borne noise. The material provides a protective interface between components, preventing abrasion and reducing rattling or vibration. The sheet form permits straightforward mechanical handling and trimming for bespoke fits.
Measure and mark the sheet to match the required shape and dimensions, then cut using a sharp knife, utility blade or suitable shears. For sealing or permanent installation, apply an appropriate adhesive compatible with foam rubber or use mechanical fasteners where access allows. Ensure mating surfaces are clean, dry and free of oils or dust to promote adhesion and consistent performance. Allow any applied adhesives to cure according to the manufacturer’s instructions before subjecting the product to mechanical load or compression.
Store sheets flat in a dry environment away from direct sunlight and solvents. When selecting thickness and density, consider the expected compression, thermal resistance and acoustic requirements of the application to ensure the chosen sheet provides adequate performance.
