EK-Pro Tubing 10/17mm Reinforced EPDM 1m - Black is a reinforced EPDM rubber tube designed for use in PC liquid cooling loops and other applications requiring flexible, durable tubing. This matte black tubing has an outer profile matching a 17 mm nominal diameter and a length of 100 cm. Constructed from EPDM, it provides chemical resistance and long-term dimensional stability for replacement or custom cooling builds.
The reinforced EPDM construction offers high resistance to UV, ozone and heat exposure, reducing aging and cracking compared with many PVC or PUR alternatives. Thick rubber walls minimize coolant evaporation and prevent plasticizer leaching, which reduces the risk of internal gunking or blockages in a liquid cooling loop. The tubing retains flexibility and abrasion resistance over prolonged use and can withstand elevated operating temperatures.
Cut the tubing to the required length using a sharp tubing cutter or utility knife to ensure a straight, clean edge. Push the tube securely onto compatible 17 mm nominal fittings or adapters; where appropriate, use clamps or compression fittings to ensure a leak-free connection. When installing in a PC cooling loop, route the tubing to avoid sharp bends or kinks and allow for thermal expansion. Verify all connections and perform a leak test before powering the system.
For long-term reliability, flush the cooling loop and rinse the tubing before initial installation to remove particulates. Avoid exposing the tubing to strong solvents or oils. Periodically inspect for wear, discoloration or softening, and replace if signs of degradation appear. Use compatible coolants and follow manufacturer guidelines for clamps and fittings to maintain a secure, leak-free system.
