Frying pan de Buyer 8180.20 — all-purpose round stainless steel, 20 cm
de Buyer 8180.20 is a 20 cm all-purpose round stainless steel frying pan designed for everyday frying, sautéing and reheating. The pan features a flared Lyonnaise shape with curved, rounded edges that help slide food onto plates without catching. Built with an extra-thick aluminium body and a reinforced flat bottom, it provides steady heat rise and even heat distribution across the skirt for uniform cooking results. The single-piece cooking surface is finished with a high-end five-layer coating for improved slip and professional-level resistance. A riveted, epoxy-coated iron handle with French-style curving offers a simple grip and easy handling.
The combination of extra-thick aluminium and a reinforced flat bottom ensures consistent heat diffusion and stable contact with the hob, reducing hot spots. The five-layer high-end coating increases slip and durability for regular, heavy use while the Lyonnaise flared shape and rounded corners simplify turning and sliding food. The riveted iron handle is coated for heat resistance and ergonomically curved for a secure grip.
Place the pan on a compatible cooktop and preheat gently; do not heat the pan on its own without oil or food and avoid overheating. Use low to medium heat settings for most frying and sautéing tasks to take advantage of the pan's even heat diffusion. Use wood, silicone or plastic utensils to preserve the coating and avoid metal tools that could damage the surface. After use, let the pan cool slightly before cleaning.
Wash by hand with a non-abrasive sponge and mild detergent. Avoid temperature shocks such as rinsing a very hot pan under cold water. Do not use the pan on induction cooktops. Avoid using metal utensils and do not overheat the empty pan to preserve the coating and the integrity of the handle.
